The remainder of the accommodation comprises entrance hall, open plan living and dining area and kitchen, with bathrooms on first and ground floors. The living and dining areas open onto a private terrace with retractable awning and a small rear garden, perfect for relaxing and eating al fresco. There is secure understairs storage. Available within the complex is an attractive communal swimming pool and a hard surface tennis court. |
The living/dining area is fully carpeted and there is underfloor heating. There are three well proportioned two-seater settees around a coffee table, a DSTv service with international radio stations (satellite), DVD player and Sony HI-Fi system. The house is tastefully decorated and furnished with original artwork and prints. The dining area has a large circular table with 8 dining chairs enabling some guest entertaining. |

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob and extractor hood; microwave oven; coffee percolator; sandwich maker; dishwasher, washing machine; condenser dryer; and large fridge/freezer. It also gives access to the drying yard. There is a telephone/fax machine installed that also operates as a copier/scanner/printer. The printer driver software is available for those with laptop computers. Essential accessories are available including toolkit, extension leads and SA-to-UK plug converters. |
The master bedroom contains a king-sized double bed; extensive built-in wardrobes and shelf units; bedside cupboards and lamps. There is a large en-suite bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower, washbasin and WC. The master bedroom has access to a balcony that it shares with bedroom 3, from which there is a spectacular view taking in the end of the range of the Twelve Apostles, which stretch down to Hout Bay from Table Mountain. There is also a good sight of Constantia Nek and the Little Lion's Head towards Llandudno. |

Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin and double beds respectively, there is a family bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and WC and also a bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin on the ground floor. There is a cot that can be located in any of the bedrooms as required. Hout Bay is quite compact and most facilities are reached in a very short time from the secure Sea Glade complex either by car or on foot. Hout Bay Beach is a 5 minute walk from the house and an even shorter car ride. |
A few further strides will take you to the harbour, where boats take tourists around the coast and to Seal Island. Whales can be seen in Hout Bay between September and December. Restaurants and shopping are available in the town. Mariner's Wharf Restaurant sits between the beach and the harbour. It is a first-class seafood restaurant with inside and outside dining; on the ground floor is a seafood market selling all types of fresh and frozen fish and shellfish. |
